Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 – 5 years of experience in complex commercial and business litigation at a large, preferably national law firm . The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in sophisticated litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and fraud cases. Specific experience with consumer class action defense and/or healthcare litigation is preferred but not required.

Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate will have a:

• Strong background in litigation practice, 

• Excellent legal research and writing skills, 

• Experience handling e-discovery issues and document productions, 

• Overall track record of high-quality work. 

• Degree from a top fifty law school is preferred but not required. 

• Someone who is hardworking, self-motivated, detail-oriented,

• Demonstrates exceptional analytical abilities. 

• Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings and motions,

• Conducting legal research, 

• Assisting with discovery (including e-discovery), 

• Supporting trial preparation under the guidance of senior attorneys.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $180,000 – $230,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

• Bonus : Potential of up to $106,000
