About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in specialty applying for prior to travel. - Must have 18 months of recent step-down experience. License: - Must have a permanent state license or compact state license in hand. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Must-Have: - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment will be completed during orientation. - An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Description: Registered Nurse position in a Vascular Surgery Step Down unit. The role may involve floating to care for the same patient population. Shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of experience in a step-down unit. Progressive care unit experience is preferred but not required. Required certifications must be active with nothing pending. Travelers will receive two attempts maximum to pass assessments. Candidates must not have any pending background cases. Facility has specific policies regarding nicotine use and testing. Compliance with time-sensitive processes for prints is necessary. Candidates will be required to complete specific modules before the start date.
