Our National Commercial Roof Consulting Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated field inspector to join their Florida based team. Our top candidate will become part of one of the leading consulting firms in the industry. The job description and key skill sets have been outlined below. *Technical Field Consultant Candidate Requirements* * A minimum of five (5) years commercial roofing experience, preferably with a background as a QA inspector or Superintendent. * Comprehensive understanding of multiple types of roof systems used in a commercial roofing application, Single Ply, BUR, Modified and Metal. * Must have the ability to read and comprehend detailed commercial roofing plans, specifications and details. * Field Consultant must be able to demonstrate the ability to compile detailed field inspection and articulate findings in the written form. The position requires the use of industry specific verbiage as well as a deep understanding of construction processes and methodology. * Fluid operation of the Microsoft Office platform, mobile base software applications and proprietary roof management software will be required to excel at this position. * This position requires 4-5 days of travel per week, in some instances multiple cities per week. * Time management skills are required to maintain operational efficiencies without direct supervision. * Field Consultant must have the ability to evaluate industrial roof systems and identify preventative maintenance items and generate specific scopes of work to rectify. Consultant must also be able to provide corresponding budget pricing for all scope items as well as project remaining useful life of roof system. * RRO/RRC professional certifications as well as level I, II or III thermography certifications are highly recommended but not required for our technical consultant position.
