One Royal Culture Short Story We have a current openingfor a Preconstruction Manager for our Building Group in our Sacramento, CA office. Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities: Manage estimating process and timelines to meet companyobjectives, both short- andlong-term. Provide leadership, direction, and training for all estimators; from beginners to seasonedestimators. Assistwith design andselectionof system components. Review all invitations to bid, assessing project scope and available documents, as well ascompanymanpower& work in progress, todeterminewhich projects Royal will accept forbidding. Oversee communication with all groups during the bidding process (ElectricalConstruction, Fire Alarm, Voice Data, Audio Visual, Security, Electrical Service) - to definescope of work for all involved, and to ensure timely completion of proposal submissionsto General Contractor / Construction Manager. Review andfinalizeEstimator and Senior Estimator project proposals and bid packages. Labor projections, monthly look-ahead assessments, and quarterly financialprojectionforall groups & scopes of work. Assistwith design andselectionof system components. Coordinate with Project Management for successful hand-off / transfer of awardedprojects and providing guidance during construction as needed. Participate in Business Development, client Presentations, and contractor Scope Reviews. Negotiateworkwith General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, andOwners. Complete budgets from Schematic Narrative phase to 100% CDphase;as well asDesign/Build and IPD projects. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least5+years of related experienceas a Project Manager or Preconstruction Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills & Abilities Ability to lead large estimates Passion for preconstruction and estimating Strong communicationskills both in person and virtual Strong work ethic and self-starter isa must Ability toutilizecomputers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel, On Screen takeoff, other estimating software programs Willingness to learn new systems Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work with limited instruction and implement successful action items Applicant must be proficient with conceptual, design assist, hard bid and self-perform estimating Results orientated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Must be detail oriented and technically sound withgood communicationskills Salary Range $140,000/year - $180,000/year This is an exempt position We offer competitive wages plus benefits and 401(k).
