Strategic Project Lead, Legal AI (J.D.) [Remote]

In the role of Strategic Project Lead (SPL), you will serve as the primary point of contact for our top AI Lab customers, managing a team of skilled domain experts to train cutting-edge AI models, particularly focusing on the legal domain. Your leadership will ensure the highest standards of data integrity, scalability, and quality while overseeing the design and execution of workflows that structure, optimize, and manage large-scale data pipelines. Key Responsibilities

• Own projects from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional satisfaction for top AI Lab clients.
• Manage complex, domain-specific data pipelines to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Lead teams of Human Data Managers and subject-matter experts in the legal field.
• Communicate directly with leading AI Labs on significant, high-impact projects.
• Collaborate with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and optimize key performance indicators across expert-driven workflows.
• Provide executive-level insights and updates on key projects, data performance, and operational impact.
• Report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
• Exceptional soft skills and stakeholder management abilities, particularly when engaging with senior legal experts.
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends, in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or significant exposure to the legal domain.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, driving operational processes, managing large-scale or domain-heavy data projects, or optimizing complex workflows.
• Passion for building from the ground up, identifying inefficiencies, and executing solutions rapidly in high-stakes environments.

This is a full-time remote position.

Annual compensation ranges from $400, 000 to $550, 000.

This role is being hired in parallel across multiple regions to meet coverage needs, compliance requirements, and time-zone alignment. Responsibilities and expectations are identical; however, employment terms may vary by region.
