Medical Assistant

to join our dedicated team at

Pinnacle Fertility- South Carolina in Mount Pleasant, SC.

This is a

full time, onsite

position working

Monday - Friday

from

7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Greet and check-in patients, verify medical history, and update patient information. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections. Prepare examination rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked and available. Accurately document patient information and maintain electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals. Educate patients on treatment plans, medication protocols, and preventive care measures. Ensure a safe and organized environment by adhering to infection control and safety standards. Assist with inventory management and clinical supply ordering. Respond to patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through their treatment plan and providing education on procedures, testing, and follow-up care. Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, tests, and referrals to ensure a smooth continuum of care. Assist patients with understanding their medical care, insurance coverage, and available financial resources. Communicate with healthcare providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination. Provide emotional support and resources to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or barriers to care. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery. Educate patients on treatment protocols, self-care strategies, and medication usage. Track patient progress, follow up on missed appointments, and ensure compliance with treatment plans. Advocate for patients’ needs and help resolve any issues or barriers to care. Assist with after-hours call coverage on a rotating schedule, ensuring patient needs are addressed appropriately. :

Highschool Diploma required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred but not required. Maintain current BLS/CPR certification.

Experience:

Strong phlebotomy skills preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting, including patient care coordination, patient navigation, or case management.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance processes, and patient advocacy. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare software. Bilingual skills are a plus.
