Aircraft Worker (CBA)

The Aircraft Worker The Aircraft Worker is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries. Essential Responsibilities Perform aircraft detailing and polishing to the SAM FOX standard, following proper procedures and using the right tools and products. Work at heights; comfortable reaching, bending, and attentive to detail. Operate JLG, Genie, and other support equipment; may assist with towing aircraft and ground handling. Operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures as required. Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times. Work day shift, second shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift as required. Maintain disinfection qualifications to perform required tasks. Could receive cross‑utilization training (CUT) in other maintenance tasks within classification. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Working knowledge of mechanical tools and aircraft safety. Capable of operating portable fire‑fighting equipment. Ability to read and comprehend technical data. Occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Ability to obtain and maintain a flightline driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Formal military or civilian aircraft maintenance training. Compensation Hourly rate: $41.49. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
