Chief Financial Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. The CFO's role is integral to the overall strategic direction of the company, ensuring financial health, overseeing all financial planning and analysis, and managing risk. The CFO works closely with other members of the executive team to align the company's financial strategy with broader business goals and objectives.

Key Competencies and Responsibilities:

• Financial Expertise:

o Possess a deep understanding of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. o Oversee the overall organization's financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.

o Evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results with budgets and forecasts. o Partner with organizational departments and provide financial insights and decision-making.

Develop Financial Strategy:

o Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with its short-term and long-term objectives.

o Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other members of the executive leadership team.

o Conduct profitability analysis of business units, projects, and investments to drive informed decision making.

o Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, product launches, and business expansion.

Cost Management:

o Enable operational cost control while maintaining profitability.

o Implement financial management processes to enhance profitability, manage expenses, and increase efficiency.

Risk Management:

o Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks and opportunities, including market, operational, and liquidity risks and offer solutions to improve overall financial performance.

o Implement and oversee effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets. o Ensure the company maintains adequate insurance coverage and risk mitigation policies.

Departmental Leadership:

o Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.

o Manages all layers of subordinate staff, including multiple layers of management.

o Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the finance department.

o Work closely with other C-suite executives (CEO, COO, CSO) to align financial strategies with overall company goals

o Provide leadership and direction as top level executive in department.

o Provide mentorship and guidance to finance team members, developing leadership and technical skills.

Regulatory Compliance:

o Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure successful completion of annual audits.

o Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory financial requirements, including tax filings and corporate governance.

Financial Reporting:

o Communicating with Wurth Group and key stakeholders to present the company's financial performance and future outlook.

o Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Organizational Culture: o Create a performance-driven culture, setting clear KPIs and conducting regular performance evaluations.

o Drives the mission, vision and values throughout the organization.

o Creates a sustainable inclusive culture that supports high performing teams in the organization with a focus on a positive work environment

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with a proven track record in corporate financial management.

• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Performance Metrics:

• Financial Accuracy and Reporting: Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports, audits, and forecasting.

• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Successful implementation of cost-saving measures.

• Debt Management: Effective leverage and reduction of debt.
