Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ counseling needs, focusing on both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Utilizing DSM criteria to diagnose clients for substance abuse and determining the appropriate level of care based on ASAM guidelines.
\n
• Developing personalized treatment plans that include a comprehensive substance abuse counseling component tailored to individual client needs.

• Creating and implementing client discharge and continuum of care plans to ensure smooth transitions and ongoing support.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation which includes counseling sessions, assessments, and all relevant communications within clients’ records.

• Managing a caseload of clients, including regular updates for case management and utilization reviews.
\n
• Coordinating with referral sources such as legal, educational, and employment agencies as necessary for client support.

• Facilitating crisis interventions and utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to address urgent client needs.
