Bring your expertise in literacy instruction to an impactful, full-time contract role supporting students’ growth in reading. This onsite position will serve an elementary caseload, working 37.5 hours per week from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Reading Specialist certification and active PA teaching license required
• Demonstrated mastery of literacy subject matter and instructional strategies
• School-based experience in an urban environment
• Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
• Proficient in differentiating instruction and creating standards-aligned lesson plans
• Capable of completing all necessary PA clearances prior to start
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
• Comfortable working within the local district and community context

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging reading interventions for elementary students
• Align lesson content with current state and district standards
• Assess and track student progress using multiple formative assessment strategies
