Salary: $62,000–$80,000 Location: Apopka, FL | Onsite A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to support critical HR operations with a strong focus on payroll administration, benefits reconciliation, employee data, and compliance. This hands-on position plays an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately, benefits records remain up to date, and HR processes operate smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working with detailed information, takes ownership of HR systems and processes, and is comfortable serving as a resource for employees across payroll, benefits, and HR-related questions. Why This Role Stands Out Take ownership of payroll review, processing, and submission activities Manage benefits billing and reconciliation to ensure enrollment and billing records remain accurate Support employees throughout the full lifecycle, from onboarding through separation Work closely with a visible HR team supporting operations across multiple locations Contribute ideas and improvements as HR systems and processes continue to evolve Play a key role in maintaining accurate employee records and compliant HR practices Key Responsibilities Review and process payroll submissions, verifying employee time, PTO, and personnel changes for accuracy Reconcile benefits invoices against employee enrollment and roster information Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and ensure personnel data remains current Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA Maintain required compliance documentation and provide support during audits Prepare HR reports covering payroll, benefits, employee information, and workforce metrics Respond to employee questions and serve as a resource regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies Assist with ongoing HR operational processes and improvements Qualifications Three or more years of HR operations experience with direct responsibility for payroll and benefits reconciliation Experience working with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience preferred Working knowledge of HR compliance requirements, including FMLA, ADA, and I-9 documentation Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple HR responsibilities and deadlines Ideal Candidate The ideal Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is an HR professional who enjoys the detail and accountability that come with payroll and benefits administration.
