Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at New Leaf Healthcare, you will:

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand the mental health needs of students, employing evidence-based practices to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique circumstances.

• Provide therapeutic interventions utilizing various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), enabling students to develop coping strategies and improve their emotional resilience.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including educators and mental health professionals, to deliver holistic services aimed at addressing the educational and emotional needs of students.

• Participate in case consultations and peer review sessions to continuously improve care quality and incorporate best practices into your therapeutic approach.

• Educate students and their families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to play an active role in their mental health journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents within the school system who face various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and trauma. You will facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, creating a safe space where students can express their emotions, explore challenges, and develop coping mechanisms. Engaging with parents and educators will also form a critical aspect of your work, fostering community awareness and support for mental health initiatives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
