This position is structured as a remote work opportunity, facilitating flexibility and work-life balance while allowing you to focus on meaningful engagements with clients. You will primarily interact with clients via phone and video consultations but will also occasionally meet in person when required. Our school-based focus enables you to collaborate with educators and school personnel, thereby fostering a supportive network for students in need.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage with clients through telephonic and virtual platforms to assess their needs and provide proactive support.

• Conduct thorough assessments to gather relevant data and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s circumstances.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary and develop strategies to manage and de-escalate acute emotional distress.
\n
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and additional services, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in ongoing training and collaborative meetings with colleagues to enhance service delivery and professional skills.
\n
• Monitor signs of child abuse or neglect, ensuring prompt reporting and intervention in line with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Encourage clients to engage in beneficial activities and programs that promote mental and emotional well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on supporting children and adolescents facing various challenges, including emotional distress stemming from neglect, abuse, domestic violence, and parental substance abuse. Your work will directly contribute to improving their mental health outcomes and overall school performance by providing timely and effective interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited program.

• Current LCSW licensure in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and their families, and effectively address their concerns.

• Strong ability to empathetically listen and engage with clients experiencing acute emotional stress.
\n
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Strong judgment in evaluating social service and healthcare options to ensure optimal choices for clients.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in educational settings or with school-aged children is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care.

• Experience in coordinating care with other health and social service providers.

Compensation and Benefits\n
