Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be remote, offering flexibility while ensuring that you maintain meaningful engagement with students and staff. You will work closely with educational personnel, including teachers and school administrators, to address the mental health needs of students. The school setting requires an adaptable and resourceful approach, as you will participate in team meetings and individual consultations via virtual platforms to complement in-person interventions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and detailed psychosocial evaluations to determine students’ needs and appropriate interventions.

• Develop, present, and continually revise individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Clinical Development Resource Program/Specialist (CDRP/S) treatment team, ensuring alignment with student goals and educational objectives.

• Actively engage in clinical case conferences to discuss student progress, share insights, and propose modifications to treatment strategies.
\n
• Design and lead educational workshops focused on chemical dependency topics, fostering awareness and understanding among students and parents.
\n
• Provide individual and group counseling services targeting issues related to chemical dependency and mental health challenges.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic interventions for adolescents, their significant others, and families, focusing on relational dynamics and support systems.
\n
• Deliver effective case management services, coordinating resources and referrals to support students’ holistic needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily supports adolescents and their families within the school environment, addressing various mental health concerns, including emotional distress, behavioral issues, and substance use. As a social worker, you will be instrumental in creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for students to explore their challenges and develop effective skills for coping and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is strictly required.
\n
• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon is necessary for this role.

• At least two years of supervised experience in addiction medicine therapy or relevant mental health services in a similar setting within the past five years.

• Experience working within educational settings, particularly in providing direct support to students and families.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices related to adolescent mental health and behavioral interventions.
