Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, systematically evaluating each student’s mental health status, identifying strengths, and pinpointing areas requiring support.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, to facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at promoting psychological healing and growth.

• Collaborate with a diverse team of psychiatrists, school nurses, educators, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care for students.

• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management, empowering them with the understanding needed for informed decision-making.

• Facilitate and lead psychoeducational groups and therapeutic sessions, leveraging evidence-based practices to promote emotional intelligence and coping strategies among students.

• Develop personalized treatment plans by actively involving patients and their families, incorporating their goals and preferences to foster engagement and ownership of their mental health journey.

• Assist students in navigating complex mental health systems and advocate for their needs and rights within the educational environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n
