Tax Accounting Manager

Our finance team is looking for a hands-on tax leader to own income tax provision and compliance as we continue to grow. If you're an ASC 740 expert who enjoys both the technical rigor of tax accounting and the opportunity to shape process and strategy, this role was built for you. A day in this role might include: Reviewing the quarterly tax provision calculation, fielding a question from the external audit team on a deferred tax position, researching the accounting impact of a recent tax law change, and mentoring a staff accountant through a technical tax issue. You’ll take the lead on: Quarterly and annual income tax provision preparation and review under ASC 740 Current and deferred tax position reporting in accordance with GAAP Federal, state, and local tax compliance oversight, coordinating with outside tax advisors Audit support, including documentation and response to tax-related inquiries Technical research on emerging tax legislation and its financial reporting impact Internal controls and process improvements within the tax accounting function Cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal What you bring: CPA required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of tax accounting experience with deep, hands‑on ASC 740 expertise Solid grasp of GAAP as it relates to income tax reporting Comfort working directly with external auditors and tax advisors Strong technical research and analytical skills The ability to translate complex tax concepts for non‑tax audiences On the table: Competitive pay, performance‑based bonus potential, full medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) match, hybrid flexibility, and relocation assistance for candidates ready to make Columbus, OH home.
