Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist

A well-established company within the aviation supply and distribution industry is seeking an AP/AR Accounting Specialist to support daily financial operations at its Sunrise, Florida location. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and can manage both payables and receivables with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this role will play a key part in maintaining smooth financial operations, supporting vendor and customer relationships, and ensuring timely transaction processing. What You’ll Be Responsible For Accounts Payable Review, code, and process vendor invoices Coordinate timely payments to vendors and suppliers Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies Assist with ACH transactions and wire payment processing Accounts Receivable Generate and distribute customer invoices Post incoming payments and apply cash accurately Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections efforts Investigate and resolve customer account issues Additional Accounting Support Perform account and bank reconciliations Maintain organized and accurate financial records Prepare aging reports and support month-end close activities Collaborate with internal departments regarding billing and payment inquiries Assist with reporting and other accounting-related projects as needed What We’re Looking For 3+ years of AP and/or AR experience in a professional accounting environment Prior experience in aviation, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and reconciliation processes Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently Strong attention to detail and communication skills Preferred Qualifications High-volume invoice processing experience Collections and cash applications background Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Fully onsite position in Sunrise, Florida #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascendo Resources
