Patient Services Representative
TRIAD ADULT AND PEDIATRIC MEDICINE, INC.
Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to greet and direct patients and visitors, as well as answer/relay phone calls and messages, and to provide information in a professional and courteous manner. Job Responsibilities:
- Greet, register, and check in patients; verify and update demographic and insurance information.
- Verifies eligibility on insurance in collaboration with the Insurance Clerk and the DSS workers.
- Collect co-pays and inform patients of financial responsibilities.
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups per clinic guidelines.
- Answer and route phone calls; document and relay patient messages/triage calls.
- Maintain accurate records and scan required documents into the system.
- Print immunization records as requested by patients.
- Communicate patient arrival to clinical staff and support care coordination.
- Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area.
- Balance cash drawer, complete daily reports, and perform closing procedures.
- Assist with medical records and administrative tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Job duties require a high school education with additional specialized courses.
- Must be proficient in English oral and written communication.
- Must have a working knowledge of data processing equipment, computers (Excel, word processing), telephones, and such typical office machines and equipment.
- Must maintain excellent customer service abilities.
- Must maintain current NC driver's license for occasional outside travel.
