Make a positive impact supporting students as a Behavioral Health Assistant in a dynamic school-based environment near Oceanside, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) passionate about working with children needing behavioral support. You will work 1:1 with students, providing tailored assistance before and after school as part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP).
This assignment spans from August 11, 2026, through June 3, 2027, and features split daily schedules:
- Morning shift: 6:30 AM–8:00 AM
- Afternoon shift:
- Monday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Tuesday–Friday: 2:18 PM–6:00 PM
You'll play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive setting—all while receiving competitive hourly pay of $35.00.
What we’re looking for:
- Active RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) credential
- Experience in school settings or behavioral health, special education, or as a paraprofessional
- Comfortable managing 1:1 pediatric behavioral caseloads
- Ability to assist with toileting as needed
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and patient approach with children
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized, evidence-based behavioral support to assigned students
- Implementing positive behavior intervention plans under the supervision of educational staff
- Supporting students in daily activities, helping with transitions and engagement in both academic and social environments
- Following established routines and ensuring student safety throughout the day
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff for holistic student support
