About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Real Estate Counsel to take on a pivotal role in leading legal support for a range of real estate activities, including leasing, operations, acquisitions, and strategic transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the real estate legal department, serving as the primary legal advisor to the leasing function, and managing legal support for property management, construction, and operational matters. This role also involves supporting dispute resolution, partnering with cross-functional teams, and mentoring legal team members. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. with admission to the California bar, at least 7 years of real estate transactional experience, and a strong background in leasing, acquisitions, and real estate operational matters. Applicants for the Vice President, Real Estate Counsel position at the company should possess a J.D. with admission to the California bar in good standing and a minimum of 7 years of real estate transactional experience, preferably with a focus on institutional landlords, REITs, or property management companies. The role requires excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are essential, as is a collaborative approach to work. The successful candidate will be expected to have a proven track record in real estate legal matters, including leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions, and to demonstrate the ability to influence legal strategy and partner with senior leadership.
