Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and health status, tailoring individualized rehabilitation plans accordingly.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve patients' mobility and functional abilities while adhering to prescribed treatment protocols.
• Provide one-on-one therapy to patients, ensuring adherence to the physician's care plan and adjusting interventions based on patient response.
• Educate and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercises to maximize rehabilitation benefits and ensure safe practice outside of therapy sessions.
• Utilize appropriate physical therapy tools and modalities, maintaining compliance with state regulations and professional ethical standards.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
• Prioritize caseload management effectively, adjusting daily duties based on patient needs and logistics for optimal service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass treating a diverse patient demographic, focusing on both adult and pediatric populations. You will work with individuals requiring rehabilitation post-surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and patients recovering from injuries. The ability to build rapport and tailor your approach to each patient's unique circumstances will be vital in facilitating their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license within California.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, which must be obtained within 30 days of your employment start date.
• A passion for helping others and a client-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health or outpatient settings is advantageous but not required.
