Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in a warm and welcoming rehabilitation facility in beautiful San Diego. Full-time employees enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, with work hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance in a vibrant community known for its outdoor activities and waterfront scenery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition, identify dysfunctions, and develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using advanced techniques in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities that facilitate recovery and enhance functional capabilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to quality assurance initiatives in the clinic.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, sharing insights and treatment updates to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation strategies, self-management techniques, and injury prevention to foster an empowered healing environment.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace, adhering to the highest professional standards and regulatory compliance guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement activities to further develop clinical skills and contribute to clinic improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will predominantly work with patients suffering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in helping patients of varying age groups, from young athletes to active older adults, regain their independence and return to their daily activities. With a focus on personalized therapy, you will facilitate their journey from rehabilitation to recovery through consistent support and tailored exercise programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid physical therapy licensure in good standing in the State of California.
• National Provider Identifier.
• Proven ability to develop and implement individual treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in documentation.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an interprofessional team.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic/sports rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in rehabilitation therapy.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly those with varying levels of comorbidities.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation best practices.

Compensation and Benefits
