Collections Specialist

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Specialist to join our team at our corporate office in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will have a background in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Why Work for CaptiveAire? Responsibilities Monitor and manage assigned accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding customer invoices Contact customers to follow up on overdue balances Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues Update account stats records and collection efforts in internal systems Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account issues Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred Recent graduate, customer service, retail or up to 1 year of relevant experience considered Experience with filing notices and liens on past due projects preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques preferred Working knowledge of MS office products, Microsoft D365 a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with high volume workload Excellent written and verbal communication skills Problem-solving skills High level of attention to detail and organizational skills THIS IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance Disability & life insurance based upon election of medical insurance 401k with employer match Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) based upon tenure Flexible spending account (FSA) Salary Competitive base salary with monthly bonus based on productivity and profits.
