Account Manager II

Overview The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Account Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in Mettawa , IL . Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite (Tues–Thurs), 2 days remote Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week Pay Range: $39.00 - $44./hour based on experience W2 Duration: Long term contract Responsibilities Serve as the primary client-facing liaison for assigned brands, managing day-to-day communications and expectations. Work closely with project managers and creative teams to initiate and drive projects forward in an Agile , fast-paced environment. Lead development and execution of creative briefs and promotional tactics aligned with brand strategy. Oversee project workflow through the full lifecycle, from kickoff through review (e.g., PromoMats) to delivery and archiving. Maintain accurate documentation (e.g., contact reports, timelines, budgets) and ensure alignment across stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams, including digital, creative, regulatory, and external vendors. Support financial processes including forecasting, reconciliation, and time tracking. Maintain a deep understanding of agency processes and compliance requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required ; advanced degree a plus. 4–6+ years of account management experience , ideally within a healthcare/pharmaceutical agency setting. Experience working with pharma clients and knowledge of medical/regulatory/legal (MLR) processes. Strong digital marketing familiarity (e.g., IVAs, email campaigns, apps/tools). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex information into actionable plans. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); knowledge of agency tools and platforms (e.g., Veeva PromoMats) preferred. Ideal Candidate Will Have A blend of account management and project management experience , with emphasis on client interfacing and strategic thinking. A proactive, initiative-taking mindset – someone who moves work forward independently without waiting for direction. Experience working on multichannel marketing campaigns across multiple therapeutic areas. Understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics and promotional compliance.
