Northern UK Voice Actor for CX Agent Voice Cloning

Role Overview

Contribute authentic Northern English voice recordings to help train and evaluate expressive text-to-speech systems for an internal customer experience AI agent. Recordings will be used only for this specific internal use case and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for another product, dataset, or purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Record high-quality voice samples for conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripts.
• Deliver clear, natural, expressive speech with strong control of tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
• Maintain a consistent voice, accent, and delivery across recording sessions.
• Follow recording requirements for the environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
• Provide multiple takes with variations in emotion, emphasis, and style when needed.

Qualifications

• Female voice actor with a natural, authentic Northern English accent, such as Yorkshire, Manchester, Newcastle, or Liverpool, currently based in northern UK.
• Clear, natural, expressive voice. Voice acting, narration, or broadcast experience is beneficial but not required.
• Professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone, quiet environment, and pop filter.
• Strong intonation, diction, and emotional range.
• Ability to follow scripts accurately while keeping delivery natural.
• Experience with TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets is preferred.
• Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper is preferred.
• Ability to perform multiple vocal styles, including conversational, corporate, energetic, and calm, is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote hourly engagement.
• Reliable availability for 5 to 10 hours per week is required.

Compensation

Hourly compensation of 50 to 100.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be comfortable with their voice being cloned for the internal CX AI agent.
• Recordings will not be sold or reused outside this specific use case.
