Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Madison, WI | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays; 4x12 Thursday–Sunday schedule also available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/progressive care/stepdown unit setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
• Float to other units as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality inpatient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown and telemetry experience required within the last 3 years
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity inpatient or teaching hospital environment
• Familiarity with cardiac interpretation and advanced rhythm recognition
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and float assignments
