Production Planner

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Production Planner to join a manufacturing team supporting production planning, material availability, and supply chain operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong MRP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and manufacturing experience who enjoys using data to improve planning processes and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to support customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
• Manage planning parameters including safety stock, reorder points, lead times, lot sizes, and MRP settings.
• Analyze production, inventory, and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create reports and dashboards to support Production Planning and Operations.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to resolve material and capacity constraints.
• Investigate production shortages, late orders, and planning exceptions through root cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate planning master data within ERP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization and data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Supply Chain Management.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, purchasing, or a related manufacturing role.
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production planning principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data analysis.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP (S/4HANA or ECC), especially PP, MM, or Supply Chain modules.
• APICS CPIM certification.
• MBA.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• SQL experience.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar analytics platforms.
