Bring your expertise to a supportive and engaging educational environment just outside Denver with multiple full-time Special Education opportunities available for the 2026-2027 school year. Seek impactful classroom experiences in elementary schools with consistent support from district staff and collaborative service teams. Assignments begin July 27, 2026, and continue through May 21, 2027, with a steady weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Openings include:

• Learning Specialist for a mild/moderate needs caseload in an elementary setting,
• Affective Needs educator for students with more significant emotional and behavioral disabilities (leading a small team, with preference for CPI, ABA, and autism expertise),
• Structured Learning classroom leader working with students with severe cognitive and behavioral disabilities, supported by a multidisciplinary service team.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education teacher license with a Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement required
• Prior experience in self-contained, affective needs, or structured learning environments strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CPI, de-escalation techniques, ABA principles, and autism support strategies (Denver Model experience a plus)
• Leadership skills to direct paraprofessional staff and facilitate team-based approaches
• Strong organizational abilities with openness to station-based, flexible classroom models
• Commitment to providing inclusive, individualized instruction to a diverse range of learners

Role responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to elementary students based on IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (speech, OT, psych) for comprehensive student support
• Lead, supervise, and train paraprofessionals within your classroom
• Communicate effectively with families and staff regarding student progress
• Complete timely district-provided credentialing and documentation requirements
