SHIFT:

• Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday one week. Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday following week
• The shifts are 3 months of 6:45am -6:45pm then switches to 6:45pm to 6:45am.

Minimum technical knowledge and skills requirements:

• Where applicable, must be able to monitor and troubleshoot multiple technologies.

• Able to navigate through Unix/Linux/AIX/VMS/DOS and perform basic commands

• Working knowledge of FTP/SFTP protocols

• Comprehensive knowledge of Office suite and PC operating systems

Job Description:

• Provide entry- to intermediate-level monitoring and troubleshooting support for operational systems across multiple environments, ensuring 24x7 adherence to established procedures, checklists, policies, and recognized IT best practices.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations while contributing to efforts that reduce service delivery risks and costs.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders by actively listening, asking insightful questions, and understanding requirements.
• Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting across systems, servers, applications, middleware, and supporting tools, following defined processes with minimal supervision.
• Conduct network monitoring by validating tool availability, verifying service performance, and identifying, documenting, escalating, and resolving anomalies in accordance with established procedures.
• Support logical security monitoring using approved tools and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor system and server health by validating tool functionality, verifying services, and managing incidents through proper detection, escalation, and documentation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of network technologies, including IP-based devices and core transport systems, using established tools and guidelines.
• Execute and validate operational processes, including scheduled processing, system balancing, file maintenance, change implementation, report distribution, and internal/external service requests.
• Comply with service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure performance targets are consistently met.
• Follow established IT standards and audit requirements to support compliance and operational excellence.
• Assist with testing activities in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automated processes, ensuring tools are available and functioning, and managing exceptions appropriately.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training plans, mentoring, progress tracking, and clear communication of career objectives.

• Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience

• 1-2 years' experience in related field preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Schenectady,NY.
