Field Technician/Warehouse TechnicianEssential Functions:Physical tear down of electronic systems utilizing various tools and methodsPhysical sorting of components into segregated categoriesConsolidating, packaging, labeling, and inventory control on segregated materialsOperating an inventory management system through proper inventory identification and labelingQuality verification on segregated and ready to ship materialsOther Duties/Responsibilities:Maintaining a clean and organized work environmentCollaborating on continuous improvement projects related to operational efficiency, safety, and management systemsTrack, record, and report work/goals progressRequired Skills/Abilities:Solid understanding of telecommunication electronic components and peripheral hardware.Willingness to work hard and stay motivated.Excellent attendance record.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skillsProven experience in electronics disassembly, sorting, or recycling processes, preferably with telecommunications electronics.Solid understanding of electronic components, their functionalities, and identification.Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used in electronics disassembly and sorting.Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices related to electronics recycling.Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to ensure accurate sorting and recording of components.Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding conditions.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.Commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.Ability to interact professionally with customers.Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to operate general office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, scanners and copier.Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.Ability to complete safety awareness training.Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.Ability to use hand tools and power tools.Ability to work in a variety of roles.Basic computer skills.Basic mathematical skills.Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.Thorough understanding of the material and/or process being inspected.Qualifications, Education and Experience/Training:Must pass a background check based on R2 standards for handling sensitive data.Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.Experience safely using forklifts, lift trucks, and hand trucks highly preferred.Physical Requirements:Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 25 pounds at a time.Must be able, on occasion, to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds at a time.Able to complete physically demanding work.Good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.Prolonged periods standing or walking.Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.Must be able to work on components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.Must be able to visually inspect equipment.Excellent depth perception and reaction time.Must be able to see details at close range.Must be able to wear protective equipment for eyes/ears/feet.Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.On occasion, may work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.
