Plastics Processing Equipment Reliability Technician Is this you?
- Driven to keep complex machines running smoothly?
- Comfortable diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems?
- Ready to support a fast-paced plastics operation on first shift?
Location: Elgin, IL | Pay: $25.00–$35.00/hour | Schedule: 1st Shift | Type: Full-Time
What you’ll tackle- Own preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance for injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
- Rapidly troubleshoot faults to cut downtime and protect throughput and safety.
- Use schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to isolate issues.
- Pitch in on mold changeovers, production startups, and emergency repairs.
- Support facility/utility upkeep and contribute to continuous improvement.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (plastics injection molding preferred).
- Strong independent troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Background with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems.
- Valid Illinois Driver's License; safe, skilled use of tools and diagnostic gear.
