What you’ll be doing Own core commercial work: Draft, review, negotiate, and simplify complex commercial and technology agreements to support Pax8’s agentic marketplace ecosystem of vendors, partners, and customers. Leverage AI as a force multiplier: Use AI‑powered tools to accelerate contract workflows, enhance legal insights, and transform how the legal function operates. Build for scale: Contribute to programmatic, repeatable legal approaches that support a growing global marketplace and high‑volume partner interactions. Collaborate deeply: Partner with commercial, product, and leadership teams to deliver practical, high‑impact legal solutions. What you’ll bring Proven commercial legal excellence: Strong expertise in negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex commercial agreements, including key areas such as limitation of liability, indemnification, and risk allocation. Deep understanding of data and tech frameworks: Familiarity with data‑processing concepts, privacy considerations, and regulations such as GDPR, alongside broader cloud and software ecosystem knowledge. Commercial instincts and judgement: Confidence navigating "table stakes" legal issues such as privacy, security, and commercial risk. AI curiosity and growth mindset: Excited to embrace AI tools, experiment with new technologies, and build capability in an evolving legal landscape. Salary and benefits Qualified candidates can expect salary between $190K and $230K depending on experience.
