FSP- Research Scientist

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Research Scientist for an on-site role in Collegeville, Pennsylvania to deliver oligonucleotide LC–MS bioanalytical support and instrument maintenance for a DMPK group. The position combines hands-on assay execution with analytical platform upkeep and technical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Execute oligonucleotide LC–MS assay development, sample preparation, and data analysis
- Perform first-line troubleshooting and routine maintenance on analytical instruments
- Manage instrument software, computer systems, licensing, and operating-system updates
- Provide weekly technical updates to clients and evaluate analytical data quality
- Bridge coverage until vendor service engineers resolve complex instrument issues
Requirements
- Strong background in LC–MS instrumentation and bioanalytical chemistry
- Experience with oligonucleotide analysis or bioanalytical method development
- Proficiency in instrument troubleshooting, software maintenance, and computer systems management
- Ability to perform user-level instrument repairs and preventive maintenance
- Excellent data integrity practices and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and project updates
