brand manager II, North American Coffee Partnership
Starbucks
Now Brewing – brand manager II, North American Coffee Partnership (NACP)! #tobeapartner From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others. The Global Channel Development team leads marketing and innovation for Starbucks products delivered in channels outside of our retail coffeehouses. We do this through thoughtful partnerships with some of the world’s leading food and beverage companies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on our North American Coffee Partnership (NACP), our 30+ year partnership with Pepsi that has brought Frappuccino, Coffee & Protein, Doubleshot Energy, and many more beloved beverages to life in a ready-to-drink (RTD) format. In this role, you will help shape the future of our powerhouse $3B+ business by leading brand and portfolio strategies that drive sustainable growth, strengthen consumer engagement, and enhance brand equity across the ready-to-drink coffee category. You will play a critical role in developing annual brand plans, translating consumer and marketplace insights into actionable strategies, and delivering marketing initiatives that drive awareness, trial, loyalty, and business performance. Working within this highly collaborative joint venture, you will combine PepsiCo’s consumer, commercial, and execution expertise with Starbucks deep brand equity, coffee authority, and commitment to quality. Lead brand strategy and portfolio growth: Develop annual and long-range brand strategies that drive sustainable growth across the portfolio. Leverage consumer insights, market trends, and business performance data to identify opportunities, inform priorities, and strengthen brand equity and category leadership. Drive consumer-led marketing initiatives: Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing programs that drive awareness, trial, loyalty, and business performance. Partner with creative, media, insights, commercial, and PepsiCo teams to bring consumer-relevant initiatives to life across the ready-to-drink coffee portfolio. Develop and lead a high-performing team: Manage and develop Brand Managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and leadership to build a high-performing marketing organization. You will foster a culture of consumer-centric thinking, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development while helping team members expand their strategic and leadership capabilities. Influence business and commercial strategy: Partner closely with marketing, sales, insights, finance, and PepsiCo counterparts to shape portfolio priorities, customer strategies, consumer messaging, and go-to-market plans. You will ensure marketing plans align with broader business objectives and support sustainable category growth. Drive cross-functional leadership and executive influence: Serve as a key leader across Starbucks and PepsiCo, bringing teams together around a shared vision and influencing decisions among senior stakeholders. You will lead complex discussions, navigate ambiguity, and build alignment to advance brand, portfolio, and marketing priorities across a highly matrixed organization. We’d Love To Hear From People With Progressive experience in brand management, innovation, consumer packaged goods, marketing, or related fields. (6-10 years) Strong human-centered design and test/learn experience. Experience leading end-to-end innovation projects from concept through commercialization. Demonstrated success developing brand and portfolio growth strategies. Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and business acumen. Excellence in influencing and collaborating across complex cross-functional organizations. Ability to synthesize consumer, customer, competitive, and marketplace insights into actionable business strategies. Experience presenting recommendations and influencing decisions with senior leadership. Passion for innovation, consumer understanding, and delivering exceptional brand experiences. MBA preferred. Basic Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in a role in marketing, brand management or product management. 3 or more years of experience in a role leading the development of new or existing products or strategies from conception to implementation. 3 years or more years of experience leading teams, especially geographically dispersed. Bachelor’s degree or four years of US military experience in a related MOS/C. As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation from date of hire*, sick time (accrued at 1 hour for every 25 hours worked), eight paid holidays, and two personal days per year. Starbucks also offers eligible partners participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program (S.I.P.), Starbucks equity program (Bean Stock), incentivized emergency savings, and financial well-being tools. Additionally, Starbucks offers 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and access to other educational opportunities. You will also have access to backup care and DACA reimbursement. Starbucks will comply with any applicable state and local laws regarding employee leave benefits, including, but not limited to providing time off pursuant to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and in accordance with its plans and policies. This list is subject to change depending on collective bargaining in locations where partners have a certified bargaining representative. For additional information regarding partner perks and more detailed information about benefits, go to starbucksbenefits.com. If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. We believe we do our best work when we're onsite four days a week. Starbucks Coffee Company is an equal opportunity employer.
