Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients seeking therapy to understand their mental health status and needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that encompass the therapeutic goals and methods tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based approaches to address a range of issues including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and more.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care and improved mental health outcomes.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social service agencies, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Advocate for clients both within our organization and with external resources to ensure their needs are met in a holistic manner.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and with a broad spectrum of mental health issues. Our clients range from adolescents to adults, many of whom face unique challenges that require tailored approaches in therapy. Your experience and cultural competence will be crucial in building rapport and trust with clients, fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Virginia.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, working directly with clients facing a variety of mental health disorders.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the latest evidence-based treatment modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, able to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
