A Carolina Chillers, LLC Commercial HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.Job DutiesResponsible for installing HVAC products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction in a commercial environmentUses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to properly install equipmentPerforms installation-related tasks, equipment start-ups, and site surveysPrepares for on-site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessaryMaintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance serviceContinually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditionsDocuments work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining filesKeeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repairProvides technical support to customersFlexibility to work overtime/weekends, as requiredBasic QualificationsAssociate, technical college degree or in lieu of degree High School Diploma / GED plus 3 years' experience in technically related field work in HVAC3 years' experience in installation of HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation and building facilities preferred3 years' experience with building systems. Programming, PC, and general networking knowledge preferredEPA Approved Universal Technician Certification preferredLow Voltage Electrical Certification preferredRequires employees to regularly move up and down ladders (portable and fixed), stairwells, and steps to access roofs and indoor/outdoor platforms several feet above groundRequires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 lbsMust have a valid driver's licenseAble to pass a standard Drug Screen and Background checkEqual Opportunity Statement Carolina Chillers, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
