Details\n \n 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit caring for laboring patients with high acuity \n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM \n Every other weekend required, with holidays scheduled as needed \n Floating required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC, and potentially to any Cone Health campus \n Uses Epic EMR, along with Triton and SurgiCount systems \n Requirements\n \n Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration \n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate and AWHONN Advanced preferred \n Epic EMR experience required \n Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery, C-section circulation/recovery, and high-risk delivery assistance \n Experience with fetal monitoring including external and internal EFM, IUPC placement/calibration, and abnormal fetal heart rate recognition \n Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Terbutaline, and Prostaglandins \n Experience caring for patients with conditions such as HELLP syndrome, pre- eclampsia/eclampsia, placenta previa/abruptio, and VBAC management \n Must pass a compliance EKG exam (pass/fail, two attempts allowed) \n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management \n Assist with neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring, ID/security banding, and neonatal resuscitation \n Support high-risk obstetric procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation \n First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted \n RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-749863.
