This contract opportunity, located in the vibrant Paterson, NJ area, is perfect for an SLP dedicated to supporting students through individualized therapy, evaluations, and specialized communication needs.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Current and valid SLP certification(s) – all required certifications must be in place prior to interviewing (no exceptions)
• Completed and active fingerprint clearance
• Experience in school settings, particularly with Early Intervention and K-12 populations
• Comfortable performing thorough evaluations, delivering individualized therapy, and attending IEP meetings
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is highly preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload of at least 35 students with the flexibility to accommodate more as needed
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized speech and language therapy to a current caseload of approximately 35 students, expanding as Early Intervention referrals increase
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring the highest standard of care for every student
• Administer and incorporate augmentative communication devices when appropriate to best support student needs
• Maintain clear and thorough records, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other team members to achieve student success
• Step into this MAT LOA cover position through November, with the potential for extension
