Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active state licensure as required for practice in New Jersey
- Previous experience working within educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusivity and supporting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and administrators to support student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance, training, and resources to school staff and families regarding best practices in communication support
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements
