Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. You'll work full time, Monday through Friday from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, beginning September 4th and continuing through June 25th. Focused within a vibrant elementary setting, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by managing a caseload that encourages student growth and success.
Your expertise in school-based SLP services will be instrumental in delivering individualized therapy, conducting evaluations, and facilitating assessments to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Current, valid New Jersey SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Previous experience as an SLP in a school setting
- Ability to handle full elementary caseload independently
- Comfort and familiarity working within school district protocols
- Reliable transportation with readiness for a daily commute
- Completion of onboarding requirements: TB test, physical exam, and fingerprints (both agency and district)
- Unfortunately, applicants at the CF or SLPA level cannot be considered due to limited supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and support to elementary-age students on site
- Complete speech and language assessments, testing, and scheduled evaluations
- Collaborate closely with school staff and administration to track and report student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation according to school and state requirements
- Communicate openly with caregivers and staff regarding therapy outcomes and concerns
