Accounting Coordinator

Overview:
A leading commercial real estate company is seeking a Property Accountant to support a large commercial asset undergoing a major renovation and residential expansion. This role will partner closely with Property Management to oversee day-to-day financial operations, project accounting, and property reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle property accounting, including AP, AR, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Oversee tenant billings, rent charges, CAM reconciliations, and lease-related accounting.
- Monitor operating budgets, cash flow, and project-related expenses.
- Track capital improvement costs, change orders, and renovation spending.
- Process invoices through Yardi, Nexus, and related systems.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and support budgeting activities.
- Partner with Property Managers to ensure financial accuracy and support property operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial leases, tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and lease charges.
- Experience with AP, AR, budgeting, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Project accounting experience supporting capital improvements or renovations.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with Property Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (exceptional experience considered in lieu of degree).
