Shift Details:

Monday- Friday
8.00am - 4.30pm

Accountant I Duties & Responsibilities:

The Accountant I performs accounting and reconciliation work related to premium and accounts receivable transactions. Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling accounts, processing refunds and adjustments, responding to billing inquiries, and maintaining accurate records while following HIPAA and established procedures.
Principal Activities May Include:

Post and reconcile payments and account transactions.
Process refunds, NSF returns, write-offs, and related adjustments.
Review forms and requests for accuracy and compliance.
Respond to billing and reconciliation inquiries.
Process workflow referrals, reports, and correspondence within required timelines.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Attend required meetings and training.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in bookkeeping, insurance eligibility determination, or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including qualifying college coursework in accounting.
