Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - New London, NC

Experienced emergency room registered nurses are sought for a contract opportunity delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in triaging and managing critical cases, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and responding decisively during emergencies.


Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• At least one year of recent experience working as an RN in an emergency room setting
• Proficient clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity for rapid decision-making
• Excellent communication and collaboration with physicians, healthcare staff, and families
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adjust to a dynamic environment

Responsibilities:

• Triage and assess incoming ER patients, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IVs, and perform necessary procedures and interventions
• Monitor patient vital signs and status, swiftly responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and other care team members to ensure cohesive treatment and care plans
• Educate patients and families on procedures, diagnoses, and follow-up care as appropriate
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and all regulatory standards
