Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, providing dedicated support to elementary students in a full-time contract role. This position, located near Kansas City, MO, offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-5 caseload in a dynamic school environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state requirements must be met)
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, parents, and support personnel
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Passion for fostering student growth in an inclusive setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction for K-5 students according to their IEPs
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching plans to meet each student’s unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate with educational teams to provide effective support and accommodations
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment while upholding all school and district policies
• Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student progress and goals
