Make a meaningful impact in elementary education by supporting students’ growth and development in a full-time, onsite contract position for a Special Education Teacher. This opportunity, based near Bridgeport, CT, extends through the end of November 2026 and provides the chance to work closely with approximately 18 elementary-aged students in a dedicated, supportive environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, differentiated instruction, and classroom management strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt instructional materials to meet each student’s needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP goals
• Develop lesson plans and adapt materials for students with diverse learning needs
• Conduct assessments and maintain detailed progress reports
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff
• Foster an inclusive classroom climate that encourages student participation and social-emotional growth
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and strategies
