Two full-time openings are available for the upcoming school year at the middle school level:

• One position focuses on 6th grade English Language Arts, Reading (including specialized reading intervention programs such as SPIRE, WILSON, OG), and Math.
• The other supports grades 6-8 as an Academic Assistance teacher, helping students with executive functioning and core academic support in a resource-like environment.

Qualifications:

• Special Education Teacher certification in CT or eligibility for certification
• Knowledge or training in reading intervention programs preferred for the ELA/Reading position
• Experience with executive functioning strategies preferred for Academic Assistance position
• Commitment to fostering student growth and academic success

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction in ELA, Reading, and Math or resource support
• Implement targeted interventions for reading or executive functioning as needed
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
