- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
- Craft customized treatment plans tailored to address the immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs of your patients.
- Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
- Work synergistically with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design well-rounded care strategies.
- Provide educational resources for both patients and families to support their progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions when needed, ensuring a consistent care experience throughout the treatment process.
- Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with all regulatory standards at the state, federal, and organizational levels.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are yet to receive ASHA certification.
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.
- Proficiency in evidence-supported treatment models for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills allowing for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at modifying therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic needs of patients.
- Strong clinical insight and adept problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
