About This Role The Per Diem Staff Nurse in Endoscopy at Mount Sinai West is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care. Highlights Pay: $85.9387/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai West Department/Unit: GI Unit - WST Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Conduct nursing assessments based on interview, examination, observation, and review of patient records. Ensure patient progress is reflected in progress notes and revised care plans. Plan discharge consistent with the patient's status and facilitate inter-departmental communication. Communicate information to patients based on their level of awareness and readiness to learn. Support orientation of new staff members by providing feedback and acting as a preceptor. Function as a professional role model and mentor for students and volunteers. Organize provision of care to meet priority needs of patients and unit. Communicate patient conditions requiring additional intervention to leadership. Participate in the development of other staff members. Reflect collaborative efforts in meeting patient and unit needs through communication. Requirements Education Graduation from an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required. Experience 2 years Endoscopy experience required. Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in New York State. BLS certification required. ACLS required.
