Our client, a leading general contracting company, is seeking a Staff Accountant I to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate, or a candidate with up to two years of experience in corporate or construction accounting.

** Location: ** West Chester, OH
** Job Type: ** Direct Hire
** Salary: ** $55,000 - $60,000

** Key Responsibilities: **

• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Assist with bank reconciliations and account analyses
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Support month-end close activities and prepare assigned workpapers
• Maintain accounting records and documentation in accordance with internal controls

** Qualifications: **

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1 - 2 years of experience in Corporate Accounting or Construction Accounting.
• Solid attention to detail and organizational skills

** Preferred: **

• Exposure to multiple general ledger areas
• Interest in technical accounting research and process improvement
