West Regional Manager, HR Business Partner

Job Summary The Regional Manager, HR Business Partner will be responsible for leading all HR functions in alignment with business objectives within the designated region. This role will assist in promoting positive relations between associates and management at Swissport, aligning with the company’s philosophy, overall strategy, and applicable federal, state, and local law. It will promote, implement and lead all HR initiatives for consistency and continuous process improvements, coach and drive business results, and ensure compliance. Pay and Benefits The expected pay rate is $125,000 - $130,000/yr. Supervisory Responsibilities The Regional Manager will have a direct reporting relationship and supervisory responsibilities for Manager, HR Business Partners and Generalist, HR Business Partners within the designated region. Your Activities Provide day‑to‑day support and counsel to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding HR best practices, policy interpretation, and compliance. Serve as the liaison between corporate HR and stations, being the first point of contact for questions regarding legal and/or policies and procedures. Analyze trends and metrics for the region’s HR teams to develop solutions that drive results. Conduct recurring meetings with regional HR teams. Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning employment data such as hires, terminations, performance reviews, unemployment claims, and turnover, and recommend improvements. Lead and ensure consistency and compliance with existing and new HR policies or initiatives in the region. Support performance processes including annual reviews, 1:1 meetings, introductory reviews, and performance management for exempt and non‑exempt employees. Evaluate the culture and work environment at stations and recommend improvements. Ensure consistent application of all Swissport policies and procedures and relevant laws. Assist in leading issues raised through employment relations, Open Door, or SpeakUp cases; investigate, document findings, respond, and take corrective action. Evaluate recommendations for employee separations, ensuring compliance with law and act as decision‑maker for separations within the region when appropriate. Audit compliance of state, federal, and local employment laws; help prepare responses to HR regulated agencies such as EEOC, Human Rights Commission, and DOL. Keep abreast of new employment law, HR trends, and overall strategies. Coordinate or conduct other training that aligns with policies and practices as required. Perform other related duties, assigned tasks, or strategic projects. Assist in maintaining the field HR SharePoint site. Your Profile Bachelor’s Degree in a related field/discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, leading teams, and multi‑unit/regional teams or a combination of all. Previous experience supervising and evaluating the work of others. Working knowledge of employee relations. Working knowledge of all areas of human resources. Basic financial acumen including P&L knowledge; one year of experience managing a P&L preferred. Basic knowledge of SharePoint and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze long‑term implications of business decisions. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate positions clearly at all levels. Ability to obtain commitment from internal and external stakeholders. High energy and high motivation, with tolerance for stressful situations. Strong work ethic with a can‑do, self‑starting attitude. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. High proficiency in spoken and written English. Willingness to travel up to 75%, sometimes with little notice. SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification, or ability to obtain professional certification within the first two years.
